First Sonnet

It's the end of my first week writing haikus @DwiTrevor. Now for the Sonnet to wrap up the topic of Quake, so I can start up a new topic next week.

-Quake, by Trevor-

It's hard to express four years in a game,
As normal events get substituted.
Friendships online are very deep-rooted,
Although known is only Internet name.
School sports are, by my comparison, tame:
Practice night-long for clan or be booted.
For Gold-rank clans few's patience is suited;
No reward but inherent, I disclaim.

What rules this game had no longer matter,
Only that this was social connection.
Between games, amongst us, there was chatter,
That recalled, behind each name, a person.
Back at school, we were simply an actor:
True life all revealed in online fiction.
